Since its establishment in 1868, Kızılay works to ensure social solidarity, and the development of social welfare and provides shelter, food, and medical assistance to those in need. In addition to these duties, Kızılay delivers zakat donations as cash and in-kind assistance in Türkiye and across the world.
280 million Turkish Lira was donated to Kızılay in the last 5 years. This money has been spent on cash and in-kind assistance for people in need in emergency and disaster settings, livelihood support, shelter, maternity support, education mobility vehicle/device, temporary accommodation and transportation, food, Ramadan aid, and medical assistance.
Your zakat donations are provided to and for the following people and circumstances in cash and/or in-kind: disaster victims, people who struggle to maintain primary needs, people who live in unacceptable conditions or are unable to pay their rent, assistance for primary new needs that emerge for new mothers after birth, students who are in need of assistance in order to be able to continue their education, people who need to use medical vehicles/devices due to health problems, people who need to leave their place of residence temporarily, medical assistance, medicine and medical supplies to people who do not have the financial ability.
